After
training as
a nurse at
the Western
Infirmary,
Glasgow Anne
Sweet has gained
valuable experience
working at St
Christopher’s
Hospice dealing
with palliative
care. Anne
also gained experience
in both general
medicine,
surgery and orthopaedics.
From this, it
generated a great
interest in the
links between
stress and illness;
and the contribution
that complementary
therapies made
to the treatment
of disease. This
led her to become
a Energy Therapist.
Anne’s
belief that
the body possess
its own healing
power stimulated
an interest
in meta-medicine,
which seeks
to explain
the links between
emotions and
disease. She
found that
this approach
enriched her
healing practice
and as a result
she has qualified
as a Meta

of disease

draw on a variety
of techniques
according to
the patient’s
needs. Anne
constantly
updates her
skills base
by attending
courses and

knowledge of
current approaches
to therapy.
